Finally the version 1.0 of the HCG Asset Browser was released for the current users, I’m preparing a new page with more details about it, and in the next few days I will update the scriptspot page also.
You can expect a online help, and a tutorial section with some tips of how to use the script, I’m thinking in include a Forum also to give a better support for the users.
Was a lot of work to make this Script, and being a 3d artist in the same time as a developer, made me rewrite the code of the script a lot of times trying to a archive a high quality in the details in the same way that I work with 3D images. There are a lot of things to do, I’m feel like I’m doing a task that should be done by Autodesk, several features are in my Todo list, and a big part of this list was user suggestions, now these features will be my next Goal.
There are a lot of parts of the script that need some speed improvements and needs advanced knowledge to been improved, now with the 1.0 released, I will give more attention for specific technical details and one of the first improvement should occur in the thumbnail generation it will be worked until gives instant feedback of the thumbnails independent of the amount.
